Before you leave

You can purchase tickets online (with the "Tickets"
tool to the right), on your smartphone using our free
mobile app, in person at many Amtrak Virginia stations
or by calling 1-800-USA-RAIL (872-7245)

If you need to change your reservation, just go online
or call us – we never charge a ticket change fee

Remember to bring everything you need to the
station, including tickets, identification, baggage

On the train

To make sure you have plenty of time to board
your train, arrive at your station 30 minutes before
departure

Carry-on baggage is limited to two pieces per passenger,
and checked baggage service may be
available on your train

On most Amtrak Virginia trains, seating is on a
first-come, first served basis – enjoy the power
outlets, free Wi-Fi and picture-perfect views out
your window!

onboard dining options – whether it's a full
sit-down meal or an informal snack in the Café Car

Quiet Car, with dimmed lighting and no distracting
